The dress has no great age, and pretty much modern, but I just wanted to share this lovely fabric design. The dress does not fit me and im half tempted to chop it about to make it fit/something from it…Just not sure what I could make from it! any ideas?
Dear fellow bloggers, just a quick note to let you know I am now on Facebook as well as on my little blog! For all things vintage, colourful and just generally a little bit of everything that makes me happy you can find me at:
This weeks Thrifty Thursday post comes from a brilliant blog called design sponge. This blog is great for inspirational design! I absolutely love colour and pattern, and because of this, i find vintage scarves a real joy. The different designs can be purchased relatively cheaply, and the colour’s and patterns just completely pop when used together in an idea like this. I love the light quality that comes through these vintage scarf curtains, its very dreamy and relaxing! Maybe not practical for a sleeping space, but for living areas this would be a great alternative to costly, and heavy, imposing curtains!
Sorry things have been a little quiet from me, i hope to get back into the swing of things again soon, but for now here is a quick link to this talented ladies work. I just love the colour combinations, and would just love one of these on my wall 🙂
Ok, so whats this all about, well its about the website www.colourlovers.com, which is definitely dangerously addictive, if you love colour, design, and patterns that is. It is still early days for me so there is alot more avenues to explore, but already I have coloured in patterns (possibly on the childish side, but its very fun), designed patterns, entered competitions. At first I was a bit like ‘Ok, this all seems odd and a bit dare I say sad?!’ But what the hell, im totally loving it now! And would definitely recommend it as a relaxing place to wander through when you have nothing better to do!
