It was a little while ago now, but me and my little friend Mr Bingley went for a little explore of a field just outside my village. It is a regular haunt of ours, as it’s a great place to let Bingley poddle about and have a little explore, not to mention eat masses of rabbit poo! (Yes what a filthy habit!)
It was literally the first sunny day we had seen for weeks, and honestly a walk in the muddy redundant potato field was bliss! So much so that I managed to lose poor Mr Bingley’s lead which meant a dilemma regarding getting the little boy back home! Thankfully my camera strap came in handy as a makeshift lead 😀
Once we were back home safely we then set about to giving Bingley his morning shower and upon finishing, Bingley hurt himself getting out the bath. It turns out after a visit to the vet, he has hurt his back and needed some time (and medicine) to recover! Hence the last picture which he was all tucked up and sleeping lots until has back was a little better!
Thankfully I am happy to say he is now back to his normal happy self, and is feeling much better 🙂
Please excuse the poor quality of this photo, this is the first post I have made using my smart phone, but as you can see the camera is shoddy! But ah well, I hope to do more picture posts whilst on the move in the future. Although I certainly think you can’t beat a proper camera and a good sit down at the computer! This print cheered me up today, I found it in Dorothy Perkins on the sale rail, whilst desperately looking for some jeans. As I am sure you know looking for jeans can be tiring and not always fruitful, so to find this joyful little ditty print made me smile, and took my denim blues away!
I was excited to come across my blog report, Its pretty humble but i admit it makes me feel very pleased to even think 1 person has gained enjoyment from my blog as afterall that is what its all about!

Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,200 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 4 years to get that many views.
Ok, so i really do love flowers, and plants. I love the imagery of flowers in fashion and design and love growing flowers even more. This year i have planted many many seeds and they have come up really well so far. I have grown a few veggies, like beetroot and spinach and salad leaves, and then an array of flowers for the garden and hanging baskets. I figured for a tiny bit of effort it would be alot cheaper than my mum buying already grown plants later on in the season. Also i have some bits growing which i hope will be in flower ready for my sisters wedding in August so that we can give a few plants as favours and generally be used for decoration. It really is a gamble as i think i may have planted them late, so i may be in for a disappointment, but ill share pictures if my flowers make it to the big day! I would share pictures of the green house but Ive made a complete mess of it, and other gardeners would be shocked at the lack of organisation, it literally is a seedling free for all! My sister is also in the fortunate position to be buying her first place with her fiance, so this has given me an extra reason to plant a few more bits this year…I’m not sure she realises yet but her back garden might just be full of Nasturchans and Lavender, and Chocolate mint…Definately a terrible mix aesthetically, but hey i never said i was a garden designer 😀
I pretty much have this choatic approch to anything i try to do, i put it down to the fact i have little energy due to my M.e and so when i do try to do things i try and make up for not being able to do everything i want to, so everything turns into a choatic jumble…which in the long term makes things alot more tiring and stressful, but overall i think gardening can be one of the most relaxing things you can do. I am literally 24 going on 65, but i love what i love, and i love flowers.
Ok so lately i have started a sewing project, my first in possibly a couple of years actually. I have been trying to make a skirt, from a vintage grey check fabric, and although the process has been fun, it has been really frustrating. Firstly the pattern size came up massive (why does this always happen?! or too small!) so it needs taking in loads, and secondly, more importantly I don’t really like the skirt…Its a bit of a shame and is making getting it finished difficult. There is nothing like a unfinished project to make you feel bad about yourself, but I just know if I saw this skirt in the shops I would walk straight past it. Maybe I will change my mind with a few trimmings and I promise I will show you the finished skirt soon 🙂 But for now just a couple of snaps! again Mr Bingley plonked his bum down on my stuff, he loves being with me in my room, I think generally as there is usually always stuff to sit on the floor! im pretty messy! but obviously I tell myself it is because he adores me!
Its my Mothers birthday tomorrow, and so this evening i have wrapped her present up. At the moment I’m really going through a presentation is everything stage, but also on a ‘I don’t want to spend money on wrapping paper stage’. On first impressions the two don’t co-exist very well, but really I’m finding present wrapping can be a whole lot more fun when done on a zero budget! OK so today i have cheated a little and have used part of the present as decoration in the form of a vintage brooch, but the ribbon and paper i have found in drawers of junk here! I’m pretty sure most of you guys will have loads of treats around the house perfect for wrapping and beautifying! I’m going to make it my task to try and be more inventive with my wrapping ideas and hopefully spend very little in the process and recycle a few bits and bobs. This is a very humble example of what can be done and honestly not very inventive and verging on the garish side, but practice makes perfect right?! so maybe in a few months time i will be a crafting, thrifty, wrapping queen!
Oh and my dog 5 year old Mr Bingley wanted a bit of the wrapping action, but soon got tired and fell asleep on a pile of my stuff. Don’t you agree polka dots and florals quite suit him!
