'Memories in pattern and colour'

Monthly Archives: November 2012

December is creeping up on us pretty quick, and pretty soon it will be Crimbo, which means one thing. Money is tight!

Sooooo, us ladies always like a hand  bag or two and so this Wednesday I am finding vintage bags for under £15! They could be a sneaky cheap pre Christmas treat for you, or a bargain gift for a loved one.

So here are my top picks, I love them all, but the first and the last are my favourites! I love them!

I found this lovely little children’s book today and just wanted to share the gorgeous 1920’s illustrations by Hilda.T.Miller within. The book is so quaint and although I have not had time to read it, it seems to be a sort of bug’s life-esque story, with each garden bug and butterfly having its own cute rhyming ditty . It really was a great find, and I’m 100% sure its a first edition too which makes it a tiny bit lovelier don’t you think?

I just completely and utterly adore this, the concept and design are absolute perfection! I am so overly jealous of who gets paid to do this work…dream job! 😀

Or in my case a baby lemon plant!

I have not posted for while but I really wanted to post about some lemon seeds I planted aaages ago, in fact I think it was the seeds from the lemon i used when I posted about making a honey and lemon tea. So actually looking at that post I can assume it has taken about a month for the seeds to germinate…which is not as long as I thought, but I can be very impatient!

And i have to admit with my impatience and curiosity I dug up one of the seeds a  week ago…and to me it looked rotten so I nearly threw the lot away, I am now so relieved I didn’t!

Seeing this sprout not only has been the highlight of my day (I’ve had a rubbish day as not feeling too well!) but it has made me über excited about having a little lemon plant to nurture!

Please do excuse the rather lacklustre Basil plant I have growing in the vintage jug…Ive yet to grow to a decent basil plant! 😀
